If the intended purpose of visit to Sri Lanka is to partake in any form of business related meetings, trainings, conferences, client engagement or promotional activities, it is imperative to obtain a ‘business visa’ prior to entering the country.
‘IVS’ will help facilitate the necessary approvals required for obtaining the ‘Business ETA’, issued by ‘The Immigration and Emigration Department of Sri Lanka’. It is important to produce this document of approval to the immigration officials at the Sri Lankan airport.
Requirements for the application of a Business ETA
1/ A copy of the passport page which carries the holder’s information.
2/ A letter of invitation issued by the local company in Sri Lanka, confirming the intended/proposed business meeting, conference or training program etc. This document should clearly indicate the applicant’s date of arrival, date of departure and the intended purpose of visit to the country.
3/ Details such as the name, address, phone number and email ID of the applicant’s company situated overseas.
